Liebe Studierende,
die Zahlung der Semestergebühren fällt vielen Studierenden schwer, da sie finanzielle Schwierigkeiten haben. Das Semesterticket ist dabei der größte Posten in den Semestergebühren. Es kann jedoch über den Sozialfonds gefördert werden. Voraussetzung dafür ist, dass die Aufbringung des Kostenbeitrages im Berechnungszeitraum eine besondere finanzielle Härte im Sinne der Sozialfondsordnung* darstellt.
Noch bis zum 29.02.2024 habt ihr die Möglichkeit einen Antrag auf Erstattung des Semesterticketbetrages des Sommersemesters 2024 aus sozialen Gründen zu stellen.
Was ist der Sozialfonds?
Der Sozialfonds wird durch Beiträge der Studierenden gemäß der Beitragsordnung der Studierendenschaft eingerichtet. Studierende können das Semesterticket durch den Sozialfonds gefördert bekommen.
*Der Erwerb des Semestertickets ist den Studierenden nicht zuzumuten, wenn das monatliche Einkommen im Berechnungszeitraum den Bedarf im Sinne der Abs. 3, 4 und 5 der Ordnung zum Potsdamer Semesterticket und zum Sozialfonds der Studierendenschaft der Universität Potsdam (SemtixO) nicht überschreitet und sie nicht über Vermögen verfügen.
Der Zeitraum, der als Berechnungsgrundlage herangezogen wird, ist dabei immer das vorangegangene Semester, also das Semester in dem Ihr euch befindet, wenn Ihr einen Antrag für das Folgesemester stellt. Zur Bearbeitung des Antrags müssen Unterlagen eingesehen werden, die Auskunft über Ausgaben, Einnahmen und Vermögen/Ersparnisse geben.
!Wichtig: Der Antrag muss bis zum 29.02.2024 mit Unterschrift beim AStA eingegangen sein (Datum Antragseingang bzw. E-Mail-Eingang; beim Postweg gilt nicht das Datum des Poststempels).
Der Antrag für das SoSe 2024 kann unabhängig von der Entscheidung über vergangene, oder noch offene Anträge gestellt werden.

Dear students,
many of you might be having difficulties to pay your semester fees due to financial difficulties.
The semester ticket is the largest item in the semester fees, but it can be supported by the social fund. The prerequisite for this is that the raising of the cost contribution in the period under consideration represents a special financial hardship in the sense of the Social Fund Regulations*.
Until 29.02.2024 you have the opportunity to apply for a refund of the semester ticket amount of the summer semester 2024 for social reasons.
What is the social fund?
The social fund is established by contributions of the students according to the contribution regulations of the student body. Students of the University of Potsdam can have the semester ticket subsidized by the Social Fund.
*Students cannot be expected to purchase the semester ticket if their monthly income during the period under consideration does not exceed their needs as defined in paragraphs 3, 4, and 5 of the Regulations for the Potsdam Semester Ticket and the Social Fund of the Student Body of the University of Potsdam (SemtixO) and if they do not have any assets.
The period used as a basis for calculation is always the previous semester, i.e. the semester you are in when you apply for the following semester. In order to process the application, documents providing information about expenses, income, and assets/savings must be viewed.
! Important: The application must be signed and received by the AStA by the 31st of July 2023, by mail or e-mail to: semtix.sozial@astaup.de (date of receipt/ date of e-mail is valid; not the date of the postmark).
The application for SoSe 2024 can be submitted independently of the decision on applications in the past or applications that are still open.
