Liebe Studierende,
wir grüßen euch solidarisch! Obwohl wir uns alle in einer schweren Zeit befinden und das Studieren sich hauptsächlich vor den Bildschirmen zuhause abspielt, möchten wir euch dennoch auf eine wichtige Möglichkeit für euch aufmerksam machen:
An 4 Standorten der Universität Potsdam sind Antirassistische Briefkästen eingerichtet. Diese sollen Rassismus eine andere Form von Sichtbarkeit geben. Gleichzeitig sollen sie die Möglichkeit bieten den Ballast rassistischer Erlebnisse anonym und symbolisch direkt auf dem Campus zu lassen.
An folgenden Orten findet ihr sie:
Campus Golm: Haus 18, Eingangshalle der Bibliothek (Foyer Campusseite)
Campus Am Neuen Palais: Haus 8, Flur vor der Cafeteria
Campus Griebnitzsee: Haus 6, Eingangshalle
Campus Rehbrücke: Institut für Ernährungswissenschaften, Eingang
Im täglichen Leben sind wir vielen rassistischen Aussagen, Handlungen und Inhalten ausgesetzt, die wir nicht teilen können oder bei denen wir Angst haben könnten, sie öffentlich zu teilen. Ohne euren eigenen Namen angeben zu müssen, könnt ihr eure Erlebnisse in einem Brief schildern, euch beschweren und diese Briefe in die Postfächer einwerfen. Als das Antirassismus Referat der Universität Potsdam möchten wir euch unterstützen, wenn ihr unter Druck steht, ihr euch fühlt als würdet ihr ersticken oder einfach nur Rat sucht. Ihr könnt dabei selbst entscheiden, ob ihr auf eure Briefe/Zettel Rückmeldung wollt oder nicht.
Wir sind für euch da. Die Briefkästen werden ausschließlich von uns Antirassismus ReferentInnen regelmäßig ausgeleert. Die Briefe und ihre Inhalte werden nicht an dritte Personen weitergeleitet. Eure Daten, Gefühle, Erlebnisse und Beschwerden sind bei uns geschützt. Falls ihr möchtet, können wir eure erste Anlaufstelle sein und machen Verweisberatung., d.h. wir informieren euch, welche professionellen Beratungs- und Beschwerdestellen für den konkreten Fall in Frage kommen und somit euch unterstützen können.
Neben Studierende, die Rassismus erfahren, können auch Studis, die Rassismus beobachten dort anonyme Briefe einwerfen, Solidarität leisten und zur Veränderung der Strukturen an unserer Uni beitragen.
Bitte teilt eure Erlebnisse und Beschwerden durch diese Briefkästen mit uns, damit wir eure Stimmen hören können! Wir sind hier! Wir sind für euch da!

Dear students,
we greet you in solidarity! Although we are all in a difficult time and studying mainly takes place in front of the screens at home, we would still like to draw your attention to an important opportunity for you:
Anti-racist mailboxes have been set up at 4 locations at the University of Potsdam. These are intended to give racism a different form of visibility. At the same time, they offer the possibility to leave the ballast of racist experiences anonymously and symbolically directly on campus.
You can find them at the following locations:
Golm Campus: House 18, library entrance hall (foyer on the campus side)
Campus Am Neuen Palais: House 8, corridor in front of the cafeteria
Griebnitzsee Campus: Building 6, entrance hall
Rehbrücke Campus: Institute of Nutritional Sciences, entrance
In daily life we are exposed to many racist statements, actions and content, that we may not share or be afraid to share publicly. Without having to give your own name, you can describe your experiences in a letter, complain and post these letters in the mailboxes. As the anti-racism department of the University of Potsdam, we would like to support you if you are under pressure, if you feel like you are suffocating or if you are just looking for advice. You can decide for yourself whether you want feedback on your letters or not.
We are here for you. The letterboxes are only emptied regularly by us anti-racism officers. The letters and their contents are not passed on to third parties. Your data, feelings, experiences and complaints are secured by us. If you wish, we are your first point of contact and we offer initial and referral advice, which means that we will inform you which professional counselling and complaint offices are suitable for the specific case and can thus support you.
In addition to students who experience racism, students who observe racism can also post anonymous letters there, show solidarity and contribute to changing the structures at our university.
Please share your experiences and complaints through these mailboxes so that we can hear your voices! We are here for you!
